Rain Garden installation Dates Set

Licking County Soil & Water Conservation District will help three communities install demonstration rain gardens.  The community installation workshops will help residents learn how to install rain gardens on their own properties.

Rain gardens help decrease runoff and reduce flooding, reduce drainage problems, recharge the ground-water supply, and filter pollutants from stormwater runoff.

What: Rain Garden Installation Workshops.  Learn how to construct a rain garden.  Bring gloves and a shovel, rake or hand trowel.

When & Where (3 dates, 3 sites):

Wednesday, June 1, 5:30 – 8:30 pm
HEBRON: Hebron Administration Building, 934 W. Main St., Hebron, OH. (Rain date: June 8)

Thursday, June 2, 5:30 – 8:30 pm
 PATASKALA: Foundation Park, Pataskala, OH, accessible from Oak Meadows Dr. (north off Rt. 16) & Bent Tree Lane or McIntosh Road

Monday, June 6, 5:30 – 8:30 pm
JOHNSTOWN: Johnstown Administration Building, 599 S. Main Street, Johnstown, OH

Cost:  FREE.  Bring gloves and a shovel, rake or hand trowel.
