CONSERVATION DISTRICT OPEN HOUSE SET FOR SUNDAY

For Immediate Release:

Newark – Licking County Soil & Water Conservation District will hold an Open House from 1-5pm on Sunday, September 25, at the District office, 771 E. Main Street, Newark.  The event is free and open to the pubic with a meal provided by Friends of Licking County Soil & Water Conservation District.

Representatives from Friends of LCSWCD, Licking County Master Gardeners and Ohio Certified Volunteer Naturalists, The Works, Licking Land Trust, National Wildlife Turkey Federation, The Dawes Arboretum and USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service will have Educational displays and be available to answer questions.  In addition, the Master Gardener Demonstration Gardens will be open for tours.

The District Board of Supervisor Election will be held from 1:00-3:30 p.m.  Candidates will be present to answer questions.  The District encourages Licking County residents and/or landowners who are at least 18 years of age to vote in the Board of Supervisors election.  An informative annual meeting program from 2:30 – 3:00 p.m. will be followed by family-friendly activities.
