CONSERVATION DISTRICT SUPERVISORS ELECTED

Newark – John Chacey and Chuck Clevenger have been elected to the Licking County Soil & Water Conservation District Board of Supervisors. The District held its annual meeting on Sunday, September 25.
John H. Chacey is a resident of Hopewell Township. He graduated from Worthington High School and attended Kenyon College and OSU. He is a farmer and retired construction superintendent and is involved with Ohio Farm Bureau and Licking Valley FFA Alumni.
Charles Clevenger is a resident of Hanover. He graduated from Licking Valley High School and currently is the Head Custodian for Licking Valley Elementary School. He is involved with the District, the National Wild Turkey Federation and local Raccoon Creek Chapter.
The meeting included an open house with food provided by Friends of Licking County Soil & Water Conservation District. Licking County Master Gardeners, Ohio Certified Volunteer Naturalists, The Works, Licking Land Trust, National Wild Turkey Federation, The Dawes Arboretum and USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service all had educational displays and answered questions.
