Natural Resource Area

The Licking County SWCD and other conservation partners have continued to work together this year to expand the Natural Resource Area. The Area is located on the Northwestern portion of the Hartford Fair Grounds. The District was instrumental in installing a rain garden near the pavilion to help manage water runoff from the roof. This year it was definitely put to the test . We hope you were able to stop back and check it out!

Hartford Independent Fair

Even though it was very HOT for the fair this year, Licking SWCD still had so many visitors at our booth in the Natural Resource Area. The frog jumping contest was a big hit with the youth involved - we even made the news! Everyday we had hands on activities for youth and adults to explore erosion, watersheds, water cycle, ground water, and ways humans can effect the environment. There was even a picture board of last years favorite fair memories! See you next year at the fair!
