  • Plants give off oxygen, which humans need to live.
  • Plants provide food for humans, livestock and wildlife. 
  • Plant provide shelter for humans (lumber for buildings), livestock and wildlife.
  • Plant roots help reduce soil erosion by absorbing water and holding soil in place.
